Burial will follow in Silent Homes Cemetery in Reynoldsburg. Mrs. Border died May 28, 1999. Mrs. Border is survived by: two daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Richard Wagy of Pataskala and Carol and John Hetzel of Greenville, S.C.; four grandchildren; and one greatgrandchild.

He was a graduate and class president of the June Class of 1941 at Central High School and was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War I II. Mr. Meeks was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret. He is survived by his wife, Johanna; three daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Paul Bender and Anna Meeks, both of Columbus, Gloria and Steve Kolanki of New Albany and Vickie and Gary May or Thornville; five grandchildren, Tina and Rick Kneice, Angie Treneff, and Brandy and Lindsay Kolanko; two great-grandchildren, Alexus and Tyler Kneice; one sister and brotherin-law, Dorothy and William Hawkins of Brandenton, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ross Smith, who died in 1984. NATIONAL OBITUARIES Harry Melling GAYLORD, Mich. (AP) Harry Melling, president of Melling Tool Co. and owner of the NASCAR team on which Bill Elliott enjoyed his greatest success, died Saturday. He was 54. Melling suffered a heart attack at his home Saturday morning and was taken to Otsego Memorial Hospital in Gaylord.

Melling was in his 20th year of NASCAR Winston Cup Racing. Melling Racing won the Winston Cup points championship with Elliott behind the wheel in 1988.
